BBK Front 6 pot caliper 378x32mm rotor and rear upgrade 355mm rotor big brake kit auto brake system For Hyper GT 19 inch
The Aion Hyper GT is an electric executive sedan to be produced by Chinese automobile manufacturer GAC Aion and sold under its premium electric vehicle brand Hyper. When the Hyper GT production starts, it will be the second vehicle of the Aion Hyper series after the Aion Hyper SSR sports car. The Hyper GT will also be the most aerodynamic mass-production car to-date at 0.19 cd, with the previous record being held by the Mercedes-Benz EQS at 0.20 cd.
When production of the Aion Hyper GT begins, it will have the lowest-ever wind resistance coefficient of any mass-production car at 0.19 cd. The GAC research and development team used aerodynamic design cues featured in previous concepts such as the GAC ENO.146 and TIME to achieve the low drag coefficient of the Hyper GT.
While very minimal battery specifications for the Aion Hyper GT have been announced by GAC, the company has revealed that the single-motor version of the Hyper GT has an output of 250 kW and 434 Nm of torque, with a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 4.9 seconds. The car is based on GAC's AEP 3.0 platform.
The Hyper GT redefines the coupe experience, allowing four adults to travel in luxury at speed, without sacrificing Czinger’s dominating performance metrics. Whether it’s a blast from London to Courchevel, a cruise from LA to Las Vegas or a trip from Dubai to the Abu Dhabi GP, the Hyper GT will get you there in style, and at pace.
Sporting a unique design language characteristic of the Aion Hyper series, the Hyper GT presents a striking figure on the road with features such as scissor doors, a low-slung bonnet, and flush door handles. A particular attention-grabber is the vehicle's low drag coefficient of 0.197 Cd, courtesy of the sleek design. The interior hosts an impressive array of tech features including a 14.6-inch touch screen, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, and a Dolby Atmos sound system.
One of the talking points around the Hyper GT is the powertrain options. It ranges from a base model with a single motor delivering 245 hp to a top-end variant that provides a potent 340 hp. However, it's the inclusion of a swappable battery that adds an interesting twist. Only one model of the Hyper GT supports this feature, and it's where we encounter a notable caveat. GAC's current infrastructure for battery swapping is limited with only eight operational stations across China, which may curtail the practicality of this option.
GAC plans to ramp up its battery swap stations significantly in the coming years, aiming for 500 stations by 2025. This is a substantial number, but whether they can achieve it is another matter, considering the scaling back from an initial aim of 1,000 stations. Furthermore, there's the question of the efficiency and sustainability of this model in the long term.
