The Audi A5 is a series of compact executive coupé cars produced by the German automobile manufacturer Audi since June 2007. The A5 range additionally comprises the coupe, cabriolet, and "Sportback" (a five-door liftback with a fastback roofline) version of the Audi A4 saloon and estate models.

Under Audi's internal platform numbering convention, the A5 is a member of the B-platform series of vehicles, sharing its platform designation with the A4 saloon and Avant. The first generation A5 (Type 8T) is therefore a member of the B8 family, whilst the second generation model (Type 8W6) is based on the B9. Both are derived from the Volkswagen MLB (Modular Longitudinal Matrix) architecture.

Many design elements from the Nuvolari quattro concept car are used in the Audi A5. This new coupe offers a clear and unique interpretation of sportiness and elegance. At the same time, the A5 offers a driving experience characterized by enjoyable dynamics and excellent long-distance comfort. The 4.63-meter-long Audi A5 clearly belongs to the aristocratic class among sports cars. Comfortable four-person seats and a loading volume of 455 liters make the A5 a comfortable long-distance travel vehicle. FSI and TDI engines with rated power of 125-195 kilowatts (170-265 horsepower) provide the A5 with sufficient power performance. All engines have the same characteristics, which are high environmental protection and energy saving.

The Audi A5's engine power can be transmitted to front-wheel drive or quattro all-wheel drive via a six-speed manual gearbox or automatic transmission. The new driving mechanism developed for the A5 not only ensures flexible handling but also maximizes driving safety.

The characteristics of the A5's front end can be summarized as "firm": the integrated grille on the front of the car highlights the characteristics of Audi, and the right-angled headlights and wide air intakes strengthen the structural effect of the A5's front profile - broad and majestic. The same is true at the rear: unique horizontal lines and wide, protruding taillights seem to extend outward, reinforcing the A5's sporty character.

The P -series street version of the brake kit is suitable for daily street use. The braking foot feels comfortable and linear. It has superior braking and high temperature resistance. It uses external dust cover design to make the calipers not need to be maintained, and the use of caliper is longer.
