The 2023 Jaguar XEL luxury sedan line-up has undergone changes, with only one sporty model grade now available. This new model comes with a higher price tag than the two cars it replaces and a reshuffled feature list. Under the hood, the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine powers the vehicle, delivering 221kW (or 300 metric horsepower, hence the 300 Sport badge) and 400Nm to all four wheels via an eight-speed conventional automatic transmission.

Jaguar claims a 5.9-second sprint from zero to 100km/h, a top speed of 250km/h, and a fuel economy of 6.9 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving (urban and highway). The 2023 Jaguar XEL luxury sedan's dimensions and weight are as follows: ground clearance of 125 mm, length of 4691 mm, wheelbase of 2835 mm, kerb weight of 1655 kg, height of 1416 mm, and width of 1850 mm.

Compared with the Jaguar XE, the new Jaguar XEL has a wheelbase that is 100mm longer and will be officially put into production within the year. The new Jaguar XEL basically follows the design style of the XE model, including the Jaguar family-style front grille and sharp headlights on both sides. At the same time, the lines around the air intakes on both sides of the front bumper are smoother.

The rear of the Jaguar XEL also follows the styling design of the current XE model, using a two-exhaust layout on both sides. In terms of configuration, Jaguar XEL will be equipped with panoramic imaging, ACC adaptive cruise, and dual sunroofs.

The body length of the Jaguar XEL will be increased by 100mm (the increase is on top of the wheelbase). The length, width and height of the new Jaguar XEL are 4788mm/1850mm/1429mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 2935mm.

In the power system part, Jaguar XEL will be equipped with a new 2.0T engine and will be available in high and low power options. The low-power version has a maximum power of 200 horsepower; while the high-power version has a maximum power of 250 horsepower. In terms of transmission, the new car is equipped with an 8-speed automatic manual gearbox.
