Front Big Brake Kit 6 Piston Caliper with 378x32mm rotor BBK auto brake system For Toyota Highlander 19 Inch car rim
Toyota Highlanders continue to deliver a smooth ride and acceptable handling characteristics as expected of a family-focused SUV; if it has a wild side, we’ve never experienced it. The interior is nicely equipped, again favoring useful, logical utility features above all else. The infotainment is intuitive, a host of driver-assistance features are standard, and the turbocharged four-cylinder and hybrid powertrains return decent fuel economy. The Limited and Platinum models do a good impression of a Lexus, with handsome leather upholstery, a premium JBL stereo system, and additional tech features.
The Toyota Highlander, also known as the Toyota Kluger, is a mid-size crossover SUV with three-row seating produced by Toyota since 2000. The first-generation model was sold in Japan as the Kluger, which was exclusive to dealership network called Toyota Netz as a larger alternative to the RAV4. The Kluger nameplate is also used in Australia because "Highlander" is a trademarked trim line name owned by Hyundai. The name is derived from the German word klug, which means smart or clever (Klüger – with diacritics – means "someone who is smarter than another" in German)
The Toyota Highlander debuted in 2001 as the fifth model in Toyota’s SUV lineup. The Highlander was an early example of a crossover vehicle: an SUV based on a car rather than a truck platform. The design delivers carlike handling and ride comfort, but lacks true off-road capability. Early Highlanders had two rows to seat five people, but by 2004 an available third row increased seating capacity to seven. When the third-generation Highlander arrived for 2014, maximum seating increased to eight thanks to a wider third row. The current fourth-generation Highlander debuted as a 2020 model.
The Highlander claws back some ground when it comes to trunk space, which is more competitive compared to its rivals. With all three seating rows in use, the resultant 16 cu-ft of trunk volume behind the third row is significantly worse than the Telluride's 21 cu-ft but on par with the Mazda's 14.9 cu-ft. With the 60/40-split third row folded down, the Toyota's 48.4 cu-ft is the best of the three, compared to the Kia's 46 cu-ft and the Mazda's 40 cu-ft. With the 60/40-split second row also folded, the Highlander's 84.3 cu-ft comes out hot on the heels of the Telluride's 87 cu-ft - and both beat the CX-90's 75.2 cu-ft handsomely.
